The quote "For want of a nail the shoe was lost; for want of a shoe the horse was lost; for want of a horse the rider was lost" is attributed to Benjamin Franklin. We sometimes get so focused on the large things of life, we forget the small things that if ignored, can have some significant consequences. Jesus talked about that too. In our relationship with God, we are told that if you are faithful in little things, then you will be faithful in large ones. God will entrust to us small objectives or tasks that so often seem meaningless. But one of the things that Jesus said was that the one who obeys me loves me. The little things are important, if not to you, then apparently, they are to God. Our obedience in small things proves that we love him enough to do those little things that we might not ever see the significance in. The Scriptures have God telling us that if we can be faithful in the little that he entrusts to us today, he will give us responsibilities and opportunities that were not ours before. So, take time to do those little things that seem so trivial, even though God asks us to do them. He really wants them done by you who he has invited to be a partner with him in his work. But it also demonstrates to us and to God that we can be trusted with even more responsibilities and opportunities. Be faithful in the little things because that always pleases God, and it just might make the rest of us happy too! Here’s our Bible verse for today…
Luke 16:10 NLT “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.
Remember I’m praying for you!
