Two guys were talking and one of them said “I believe that every day is a good day!” The other guy looked at him and said “That’s not true. You have to be crazy to believe that every day is a good day.” The first guy said, “Well, try missing one of them.” I’m not sure how to respond to that…but one thing I do know is that some days seem awesome and glorious and others, well, hard and even heartbreaking. But every day is a day that the Lord has made. When we open our eyes in the morning, we have received a gift that not everyone received. It is a new day we are given, a day that has never been lived before and we have no idea what all will happen or how it will turn out. We don’t know how we will feel about what takes place. But what we do know is that the Lord has made that day. That’s what the Bible says. And beyond that, it says that since he has made it, we will rejoice and be glad in it. You will not get everything you want this day. Not everyone will be nice to you today. You may be glad when this day is over. But the Bible says the Lord has made this day and we will rejoice and be glad in it. Yeah, I know, not everyone is going to do that. But those who know God and know his Bible also know that God will take everything in this day, all things, and work them together for his good. No matter how it looks, feels or is judged, it is God’s day and it is a day in which he will be doing his work. So, no matter the circumstances, remember that God is working for the best for you and this day will be filled with purpose, meaning and most of all his love for you and me. Welcome this day and rejoice because the God who loves you is giving us this day and he is in charge of the whole thing! Here’s our Bible verse for today…
Psalms 118:24 NLT This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.
Remember I’m praying for you!
