You woke up today…but what if you knew that you wouldn’t wake up tomorrow? How would you spend your
day? What would you do? We get so used to just living each day that we lose touch with how precious a gift
this life is. A lot of people didn’t get to see this day…but you did. If this were your last day, what would you
say to God and what would you want to do for him? And how about your family? What kind of things would
you regret not saying to them or things that you would regret not doing for them or with them? Each day that
God gives us is an opportunity to do good. We have a saying at our church “Do all the good you can while you
can”. That would be what I’d want to do on that last day. Tell someone you love them, ask for forgiveness, tell
someone how much they mean to you. But you don’t necessarily know when the last day is going to be for you.
But you know what? You don’t know when that last day is coming for a loved one or friend either. So, make
today count. If God has given you this day, he is giving you an opportunity to live and love and laugh. Go do
it. Embrace the life that God has given to you and share that love with all you meet. And should you wake up
tomorrow…you will have another golden opportunity to journey through a day being a blessing to both God
and people! And never forget that one day you won’t ever have that opportunity again, so don’t waste today!
Here’s our Bible verse for today…
James 4:13-15 NLT Look here, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit.” (14) How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. (15) What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.”
Remember I'm praying for you...
