There was a guy who had been telling a friend about this Jesus of the Bible and the friend said that he had studied so many different religions but he was amazed at what he saw in the Bible about this Jesus. He said that no other religion he had ever studied had anything like that in it. The guy asked if it was the virgin birth that he was so moved by. The answer was no. He asked if it was the death and resurrection of Jesus. The friend again said that wasn't it. The guy pressed him as to what it was that amazed him about this relationship with Jesus. And his friend said...the Bible says that this Jesus who claims to be God...now lives in you! How often do we think in amazement that this Jesus of the Bible lives in us. We talk about inviting him into our lives, but do we really remember that he is there now, not just living with us, but living in us? That is the amazing intimacy that God is willing to have with us people who although we are saved and are now his children often leave a lot to be desired., And yet his love for you and me compels him to be willing to be that close and personal with us. So today, no matter where you go, what you do or what you say, you will do all of that with this Jesus right there with you and me. He is always just a prayer away from you when you need him. So choose to live well today because you and Jesus are going to do this day of life together.
Here's our Bible verse for today...
Galatians 2:20 My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So, I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Remember I'm praying for you!
