I enjoy getting to be with my granddaughters whenever I can. They have all grown up so fast and are becoming
lovely young ladies. But at times I almost have to have an appointment to get to see them because they are all
so busy! They are talented and have a lot of different interests and enjoy everything that they are doing. And if
I’m honest, my schedule is pretty much the same way. We all seem so busy. There seem to be so many
demands on our time and the days sometimes just fly by. I was thinking about that the other day and I
remembered a scripture that we all ought to revisit…me too! The Psalmist writes “Be still and know that I am
God…” We are always moving, doing or on our phones! God is calling us to stop. Just stop for a bit in our
lives and be still. One of the most effective ways that Satan dulls our relationship with God is simply by
keeping us busy with other things. He just makes sure that we don’t have time for God. There are so many
good and wonderful things to do and see and be a part of. But the best and only eternally lasting thing is our
relationship with the God who loves you and me so much. In the movie “Forest Gump” Forest is describing his
time in the military and he says “There was always something to do!” That’s the case for me and you too…but
remember that the most important thing to do is just to be still and know that He is God.
Here’s our Bible verse for today…
Psalms 46:10 BSB “Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted over the earth.”
Remember I’m praying for you!
