I ran across this riddle the other day…can you figure it out?

“What is stronger than God, more evil than the devil, poor people have it, rich people don’t need it, and if you eat it, you’ll die?”

The guy who published this years ago claimed that only 17% of Stanford grads got the right answer…but 80 % of kindergarteners did. The key to the whole riddle is the answer to the first phrase… “What is stronger that God?” And the answer of course is… “Nothing”. I thought about that, and it is indeed true that if we want to solve the riddles of life around us…we need to get to know who God really is, and the power he has. Moses was quoted in Deuteronomy as saying “LORD, you have only begun to show your greatness and the strength of your hand to me, your servant. Is there any god in heaven or on earth who can perform such great and mighty deeds as you do?” And the answer to Moses was that there is nothing stronger than God. So, as you and I deal with the questions of life, we need to answer the first one. And that is “What or better yet, who is stronger than God?” It certainly is not you or me, or the devil or any of the other human-made gods. It is the God of the Bible. And when you get to know him and his strength, and love and mercy and tenderness…the other questions of life begin to get answered. So, the lesson is…get to know him! God wants you to know and love him because he already knows and loves you like crazy!

Here's our Bible verse for today…

Deuteronomy 3:24 NLT ‘O Sovereign LORD, you have only begun to show your greatness and the strength of your hand to me, your servant. Is there any god in heaven or on earth who can perform such great and mighty deeds as you do?

Remember I’m praying for you,
