I’m still stinging over the 49ers loss in the Super Bowl. Yeah, I know…just get over it. But it wasn’t until the
last seconds of overtime that we knew who would win. We’ve had basketball playoffs to decide who was going
to be the ultimate winner and then there will be the Stanley Cup for Hockey. That’s the exciting thing about
sports, you never know until the very end who is going to be the ultimate winner. As a follower of Jesus
Christ…I can just sit back and relax…because we already know who is going to win in the ultimate contest
between good and evil. The Bible says that Jesus has paid for sin on the cross, freed all those who want to live
and will humble all his enemies beneath his feet. And then the last enemy will die forever…death itself. It will
be exciting to see and experience, but we know how all this is going to end. And so does Satan and all his
minions. Get in on a sure thing…make sure you are on the side of the ultimate champion…and you will be a
winner too…for all eternity!
Here’s our Bible verse for today…
1 Corinthians 15:23-26 NLT But there is an order to this resurrection: Christ was raised as the first of the harvest; then all who belong to Christ will be raised when he comes back. (24) After that the end will come, when he will turn the Kingdom over to God the Father, having destroyed every ruler and authority and power. (25) For Christ must reign until he humbles all his enemies beneath his feet. (26) And the last enemy to be destroyed is death.
